Take CodeB Conference for yourself.
Two ways to own a CodeB Conference deployment that no third party can read, throttle, or shut down. Buy a perpetual on-premise license and run it on your own Windows Server. Or let us host it for you under your own domain. Either way, no analytics, no cloud middleman, no surprise SaaS lock-in.
Run it on your own server.
IIS · Windows Server · LAN or DMZ
The complete codebase deployed onto a Windows Server you control. Signaling, TURN relay, recording sink and static assets all live behind your firewall. Air-gappable for regulated environments — defence, healthcare, manufacturing, public sector. Once installed, the deployment is yours; it keeps working whether or not you renew anything.
- What ships: the static frontend (incl. the installable CodeB Phone PWA surface), the ASP.NET signaling handler, the on-prem TURN relay, an optional SIP bridge Windows Service for connecting to your PBX or trunk providers, deployment scripts and an install runbook.
- Where it runs: any modern Windows Server with IIS and the .NET runtime. One small VM is enough for a department.
- Operational ownership: your DNS, your TLS cert, your TURN secret, your SIP trunk credentials, your access logs. We never see your meetings.
- Updates: source-available with versioned releases. Apply when you choose, including never. The PWA self-updates client-side on the next reload.
- Best for: organisations with a "no cloud" rule, with a sensitivity profile that demands traffic stay inside the LAN, or who already operate Windows Server fleets.
We host. You use your own domain.
meet.yourcompany.com · fully managed
We operate a dedicated deployment for you on CodeB infrastructure, fronted by your own domain (a CNAME or A-record you point at us). Your users see meet.yourcompany.com, not phone.codeb.io. The same privacy posture applies — your media never touches anyone's data lake, we don't add analytics, and your room logs are isolated to your tenancy. Zero operations burden on your side.
- Custom domain: bring any subdomain you control. We supply the TLS certificate and renewal.
- Isolated tenancy: separate IIS site, separate TURN credentials, separate logs. No shared signaling state with other customers.
- SLA & uptime monitoring: 24/7 monitoring with named technical contacts. Standard SLA is 99.5%; higher tiers available.
- Best for: organisations that want a private meeting tool but don't want to run a server themselves.
The same product. The same posture.
Both options deliver the full feature set of CodeB Conference exactly as you've seen it on this site — no stripped-down "community edition", no upsell tier hidden behind a separate enterprise gate. Whether you buy the license or the managed hosting, you get:
- Browser-based video, audio and screen sharing — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari iOS 14+, Android Chrome
- End-to-end DTLS-SRTP encryption between browsers — the server never sees plaintext media
- Chat, file transfer, raise-hand, reactions, spotlight, picture-in-picture, document PiP
- Local meeting recording with ECDSA-P256 signed evidence sidecars (forensic grade)
- Recording-consent gate — every peer must Allow before recording starts, consent logged into the signed sidecar
- Shared whiteboard everyone can draw on (pen, eraser, colours, undo) — synced over the chat data channel
- Breakout rooms — split 2–4 groups, switch between them, late joiners can pick which to enter
- Per-peer bandwidth adaptive ladder (720p → 480p → 360p → audio-only) — quality follows each link, not the slowest
- Virtual background blur, per-tile volume sliders, audio "elevator brake", idle-camera dim
- Knock-to-join for locked rooms, sticky notes on shared screens, Verified-by-CodeB badges
- QR-code landing for one-scan mobile join
- Built-in CodeBTurn relay for the ~10–20% of calls that need NAT traversal help
- CodeB Phone desktop app (PWA) — installs from the browser, registers as a user, rings on incoming calls from teammates and the PSTN, self-updates client-side when you ship a new build
- Browser-to-browser calling between teammates — direct, no SIP, no carrier minute
- Optional SIP bridge — connect to your PBX or trunk providers; click-to-call from any web page; multi-trunk with priority and automatic failover; recovers from PBX reboots without service restart
- Strict number whitelist + geographic prefix restriction + per-call fraud caps on outbound dialling
- Built-in operator dashboards — live trunk-register state, inbound/outbound call logs — all on-prem, no third-party telemetry
- Zero trackers, zero analytics, zero third-party JS in the call path — see the privacy manifesto
- Source-available codebase — you can audit every byte before it ships
For the full capability catalogue see the features page. For how the bytes actually move see the data flow page.
